'11:34' - The Next Single "Type Of Guy"
‘Type of Guy’ is the second single taken from Gtown Desi's debut album called '11:34'. It features vocals from Nikitta, former X-Factor finalist in Simon's '16-24' category, in. The R’n’B dance floor smash is a true representation of the group’s Urban influence with minimal hints of eastern elements. '11:34' - The Debut Album - Out Now
Gtown Desi finallydeliver their long awaited, debut album, “11:34”.
The album itself is a definitive fusion of Urban and Asian genres drawing on each member’s individual influences. Bhangra, Breakbeat, Bashment and R’n’B all feature strongly as the group aim to filter through Asian influenced music with a touch of Urban throughout the 13 track production. The debut single, ‘Peerh’ was instantly picked up on by the BBC Asian Network (playlist) as well as Radio 1 as the Breakbeat/Bhangra smash caught the attention of DJ’s across all levels.
Friction featured the act as ‘artist of the week’ playing cuts from the album across the week during his BBC Asian Network show. Scotland’s own Vic Galloway also featured ‘Peerh’ during BBC Introducing in Scotland. Zane Lowe then dropped the follow up radio single, ‘Lok Tath’ during his on air battle with Nihal on Radio 1.

The debut video for ‘Peerh’ aired across Brit Asia and has recently made its way across You Tube. Shot within Glasgow’s gritty urban setting, the production is a direct reflection of the group’s cultural influence featuring an entire Glasgow based cast choreographed by a former Destiny’s Child affiliate.
Artists which feature on the album include Nikitta (X-Factor), as well as Kobi Onyame (BBC 1xtra), Charlene, Gift & Miss Elii representing the Scottish acts. A host of international artists bless the remainder stretching from Australia to India.
Gtown Desi debut with their first official weekly residency within Glasgow’ Westend nightclub, Boho. The night named Vibe @ Boho opened their doors on Thursday 8th October 2009 with resident DJs, Bobby B alongside Mr Vin & DJ Gully spin all urban sounds with a mash up of Desi Beats and House anthems.
Doors open at 10.30pm till late as the collective aim to deliver a unique clubbing experience each and every week.
Gtown Desi will be one of the head line acts this year at Glasgow Mela alongside Channi Singh from Alaap, and Jaz Dhami.Gtown Desi DJs will be rocking the Common Wealth Stage from 2.15pm alongside a host of other artists for a 30 minute, explosive Urban Desi DJ set...
